‘Uncorroborated’ is a visual exploration of how the influx of technology manipulates lived experiences and memory. Once vivid and tangible, these moments undergo a transformative fusion with the nebulous realms of unreliable environments, blurring the boundaries of reality.
The footage taken from the artist’s deeply personal archive then enters a process of distortion, to reference the complexity and incapability of retrieving authentic memories, free from dream-like scenarios or subtle inconsistencies.
The work creates an atmosphere of ambiguity and unease, encapsulating the sensation of being devoid of confirmation—unable to discern the genuine from the fictitious. It invites viewers to linger in an ethereal limbo, suspended between reality and dreams, life and death.
